My comment on the lone Republican at the NAACP makes it to print
They came up with the headline:
GOOD QUESTION

Recently, the NAACP sponsored an event that would allow all the Republican candidates for president in 2008 speak before their membership. They have also done similar for the Democratic candidates. Many interest groups do this also, from the firefighters and police to various religious groups. Interestingly, though, only one Republican showed up to speak before the NAACP, and that was staunch anti-immigration advocate Tom Tancredo, who is polling near the bottom. All of the other candidates were no-shows, including Giuliani, McCain, Thompson and Romney. My question to these Republicans candidates is, if the GOP candidates are afraid to face the NAACP, how can they be tough enough to take on Al Qaeda?

Another good one a few below that:

Just hit "Front Page" and then "Speak Out" to read them all.

3. The reason may be the fact that they just don't give a damn about minority voters

4. Good letter Jeff
It could be that Gonzo's group has perfected the voter caging they used in 2006 so that they are not concerned about any non white voting block in 2008.

Nice to see your paper pick up some good LTTE's.

5. That's a losing strategy in the long-term then
The country is getting a little bit less white all the time... and, the numbers will have dwindled even more by 2008 and then 2012 and 2016...

6. You see, Jeff, the GOP lives on fear. They have to fear everything and everyone
who isn't just like themselves.
