Where can I find details about the Ag. Bill that caused chaos (voting) in the House?
Edited on Tue Aug-07-07 09:10 AM by SaveAmerica
I know about the voting fiasco, walk-out by the Republicans and the theatrics the next day, but my neighbor watched the replay on C-Span that next morning and thinks the bill was going to take money from Medicare and funnel it into benefits for illegal immigrants. I'm guessing that when he saw the replay he heard this from Republicans, I read about the episode here but didn't watch the debate when it was in session or replay. Anyone know where I can get details to reassure him? Thanks

1. go to any GOPer site. They are screaming about it 24/7
nice wording, Democratic fiasco

I see some trying to make it a big issue here by starting threads and of course citing "some other person's GOPer viewpoint" and saying "oh please help me get details to fight this."

2. The wording is 'voting fiasco' because while they were voting
craziness took place. I haven't done a google search because I figure all the results would go back to freeper sites which I don't waste my time on. My neighbor has asked me this 3 times now, he's a Democrat and a senior and worried about his benefits in his retirement. I'm trying to help fight the Republican disinformation machine here, and looking for help.

3. Why was Boner so calm through all this when Republicans were birthing
cows all over the house? I went ahead and did a google search and am only opening 'news' sources but everyone has the same info, nothing about Medicare. I do notice that they've mentioned that the Republicans were 'heated', 'furious' and 'angry'; all mentions of Boner show that he was very calm and unaffected. Why?

*I keep misspelling Republicans, putting a 'b' instead of a 'p', they are now Rebubbacins

4. Basically it is the Child healthcare program
which is to be paid by capping payments to insurance plans and nursing homes. The big deal is that insurance companies and nursing homes are pushing the controversy by hiding behind phony entities and placing propaganda ads/news stories which are meant to scare seniors. There is no cut to senior care, just caps on the outrageous profits insurance companies and nursing home execs can grab from the system.

A good article on what is happening is

5. Thanks for your help, my time for research is very limited, does this
have to do with this:

I'll use that info to add to agriculture bill search I've started to see how they relate. Thanks again.
