1. I don't get it. What's your point?
Am I missing something?

(In my own defense, I have had only one cup of coffee this morning, but still....)

3. Rubbing on 3 cylinders
from lack of sleep, so my point probably wasn't very clear.
I am just being a bit critical about threads that deal with the struggles of low income people and/or otherwise financially strapped people.
The threads are inevitably taken over by posters who are so obviously not in related situations and use the OP to brag about how well they are coping.

Just a silly rant.

5. Yes,
Two come to mind. One is current, and the other (food stamp related) thread happened a few months ago.

7. And I paid for my own health insurance as well. Full coverage. For a family of 6. On minimum wage.
So pull yourself up by your own bootstraps dammit...quit using my boots. If you can't live in my made up and unrealistic fantasy world, you are unworthy of my help and/or sympathy.

Those types of posts?

8. Well...
I just built myself a hybrid car out of parts I picked up yard sales and thrift stores. Now excuse me while I go harvest my home-grown saffron, after which I plan to knit a sweater out of cat hair.

Martha Stewart, eat your heart out.

11. HAH! I knitted a cat hair sweater last week. I'm also allergic to cat hair.
You're just a cat-hair-sweater-come-lately.

14. Never eat anything packaged!
That's another good one.

Yes, we all have time (and can afford) to freshly prepare every meal from scratch from organic ingredients or stuff we grow ourselves.
