ART: Bible interpretation, No. 1 and 2
The two pieces ("Bible interpretation #1 and #2 by Phil Hansen) were made by photocopying the bible, resizing, and then copying some more. Then the copies were cut apart and placed to make the pictures. I think they make up a most powerful and fascinating diptych which symbolizes how you can take the words, of any religion really, and use them as a force for good or evil.

3. Interesting
Cool, in a way.

Of course one could have a discussion about which of those is a more accurate representative of the underlying material.

4. Way cool!
Artists are ahead of the rest of us. If you don't think so, just listen to the music from the last 20-30 years; those artists were telling us the future (basically) in rhyme.

Us and Them
(Waters, Wright - Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon)

Us, and them
And after all we're only ordinary men.
Me, and you.
God only knows it's not what we would choose to do.
Forward he cried from the rear
and the front rank died.
And the general sat and the lines on the map
moved from side to side.
Black and blue
And who knows which is which and who is who.
Up and down.
But in the end it's only round and round.
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
The poster bearer cried.
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside.

Down and out
It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about.
With, without.
And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about?
Out of the way, it's a busy day
I've got things on my mind.
For the want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died.

5. wow...
Those are really powerful.

I wish I could translate my creativity into art skills...but my hands just don't work that way. I can color in the lines though.
