Why no questions about FISA?
I am still pissed and this issue will be one of the main issues of my vote.

Why were these so called presidential candidates not questioned on one of the major questions ruling public opinion today?

Yes. This issue is not going away and if KO will not present the issue, who will?

7. I waited with anticipation for the KO questions
believing he would know the weight of this question. Nothing.

YearlyKos. Nothing.

If we don't put it out there, in their face, how are they going to know our passion on the issue.

What? We are supposed to rely on coporatist pundits to carry the ball?

2. I wondered about that too.
Maybe the questions were just more geared toward labor issues, but a question on the FISA vote could have been included since they did discuss terrorism.

8. Labor first, yes. But without FISA
can there really be any realistic expectation for labor rights?

4. That and impeachment will be off
they will not speak of it, they will not adress it, and that fits them fine

5. I'm not sure American politics is going to be THAT issue
oriented anymore. You live in a police state with limited rights and thus limited discussion.

10. We live in a police state
You say that and my mind is starting to believe that, but there is so much resistance in my soul.

In my world this FISA is THE issue.

9. Because despite the appearance, it was edited; look at the people
who were in line. They and their questions were ready to go.
Also, Edwards and Richardson might have felt uncomfortable because they weren't involved.
But after that, I wish it had been asked.

11. True. That seven second delay did seem wonky.
But this FISA issue happened Friday/Saturday. Now it is Tuesday and I am more pissed and more agitated than four days ago.

I do not see this emotion lessening. My Senators are Biden and Obama and my rep is Jan S. Jan is great and in her entire term she only voted against my wishes once so far. Calling her to complain is equal to calling myself. With Biden's and Obama's offices both in DC and Illinois, I left more than several messages along with some emails.

Now what?

12. I think it's more like:
1. Fish in a barrel. None of these people voted for FISA. Why waste our time allowing them to pontificate about how bad it is? It wouldn't have helped differentiate them for us.

2. They're running for president, not impeachment. The time was spent talking about what they would do as president, not about what they want or don't want now. Although Kucinich did manage to squeeze it in there a bit.
