Clinton and Obama could do alot to separate themselves by paying for and staging their own debates |
|
without other Democratic candidates. I'm not pushing either of them but they have the money to do it, just set it one night before scheduled Democratic debates. What good is raising all the money they have raised if you don't use it to distance yourselves from the pack?

1. And explain to my why this would be a good thing ? |
|
Is it because media and popular culture have determined that "somehow" these two are so "important" that they need to debate above the rest of the field ?
Am I missing something here or are not debates supposed to help anyone interested in seeing ALL the contenders... not just those that a few think are "top tier".

3. I have no opinion on it being a good or bad thing. I just don't understand why they haven't done it |

2. I said previously that I would like a 3 person debate system |
|
With everybody getting to debate everyone else at least once.
This would not necessarily replace the current debate forms but would allow answers that went beyond sound bites.

would stop throwing little digs at each other, its going to bite all of them in the a** as time goes on. There are way too many issues for each to focus on and plenty of things to sling sh** at the other side over to be doing it to each other. Its not just Hillary and Obama, its all of the candidates.

7. It IS too early for that |
|
That is just downright insulting to the rest of the candidates. All you would get with a two person debate is more highly scripted answers to more questions. The other canditates bring points of view that a moderator might choose to ignore. This is the only time in an election that controversial ideas are heard. That's why I get so annoyed when people don't want to participate. This is every single person's opportunity to join a campaign and go talk to people about new ideas. That's how things change. I wish every Democrat in every red precinct would join a campaign tomorrow and start knocking on doors. We desperately need it.

8. They've distanced themselves. |
|
They are distant to me anyway. Just kidding. The media chose them as the TWO candidates before all this started. Like everything else in America, your life's outcome is being determined by others, even your basic rights are taken away without asking or your input. Presidential candidates and political parties are the window dressing now.
