Why don't Dems play the fear card? |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-07-07 10:44 PM by gulliver
The GOP and their star, George W. Bush, should scare any thinking human being. Why don't Dems play the fear card? It should be a Dem advantage.
1. Bush has done nothing for Social Security but try to privatize it. He is letting it fall apart!!!
2. Bush and the GOP have left bin Laden alive and well in Pakistan. If another terrorist attack comes from Al Qaeda, they are to blame!!!! (If Bush is so worried about Al Qaeda in Iraq being pledged to Osama bin Laden, then why did Bush continue letting bin Laden run free. There is a mile-wide gap in Bush's logic here. The Dems let him slip by for who knows what reason.)
3. Bush and the GOP have let the country rot!!! Everywhere you look things are falling apart!!!
4. Our country is falling behind!!! The dollar is falling. Bush is driving up our debt beyond all sense. The people of China and India will be getting our gas, forcing us to pay through the nose!!!
The scariest words in the English language are "I'm from the GOP, and I'm here to govern you."

2. Apparently they're too afraid someone will play it on them first |
|
All they know is defense, and they're lousy at it. We're fielding a AAA team against the majors.

3. DC Dems being proactive instead of reactive? |
|
I believe that proactive muscle has atrophied.
But I agree with you. There is so much on our side to be proactive about but have figured our DC Dems have gotten lost in the forest of Lobbyist Dollars Aplenty.

but sigh, they tend to tell the Dem candidates that they need to appear strong and militaristic.

6. The healthcare issue could be scary for a growing number of Americans |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-07-07 11:09 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
If they lose their jobs or if their employers shift health insurance costs to them and they cannot afford it, a major illness could wipe them out. That's a scary subject that could hit very close to home unless and until a Democrat solves the problem. No Republican Administration will ever solve it or even attempt to solve the healthcare crisis.

8. Because they are on the same team-they serve the same masters |
|
If we really had an opposition party, they'd not let Buscho frame the debate. Instead, they pander and bolster his fearmongering rather than challenge the blatant logical fallacies he peddles.
You've nailed the fact that we have more to fear from Bush than from phantom terrorists; the Dems know this too but pretend not to.
