Here's a laugh riot: NewsBusters is shocked at Keith Olbermann's "fairness" at the forum
Olbermann Poses Challenging Questions to Dem Candidates
By Brad Wilmouth | August 7, 2007

Keith Olbermann a "fair and balanced" journalist for a day? Did the sweltering Chicago temperatures somehow get to him? The MSNBC host who is notorious for anti-Bush, anti-conservative rants employed a more balanced approach when he moderated Tuesday's Democratic presidential debate, hosted by the AFL-CIO. While audience members posed numerous left-leaning questions to the candidates, Olbermann asked a number of challenging questions, a few even posed from the right. Olbermann not only asked "what should we not be funding" to find the money for repairs to infrastructure, without even suggesting a tax increase, but the MSNBC host also asked about the possibility of an al-Qaeda takeover in Iraq. Olbermann: "If you get us out of Iraq and somehow al-Qaeda takes over anyway, what will you do then?"

Yep. That's right--Keith is now "fair and balanced" in the eyes of a wingnut because he didn't suggest "raising taxes" to repair infrastructure but rather sacrificing something else. And because he theorized about an Al Qaeda takeover! That's enough to make even Tweety say "HA!"

Never fear, though...their commenters still think he's "just pure evil" or (and this is even funnier) that the great success of the war by September will have him shifting right and embracing Petraeus. Oh man, my stomach is hurting, I'm laughing so hard.

1. They just can't believe that the *truth* is biased against conservatives....
... or better yet, albeit equivalently: the other way 'round.

3. Newsbusters is a cheap, semi-illiterate rip-off of Media Matters
It's about as unprofessional a site as you will find.

6. Semi-illiterate? The jackass who wrote the article couldn't
differentiate between KO's role as a moderator of a forum and his role as host of his own TV show. Dimwit expected him to be just like all the other rw TV nutjobs. What a moran.

7. KO is fair and accurate
...differentiate between KO's role as a moderator of a forum and his role as host of his own TV show...

Different roles same goals factuality, truth, clarity, professionalism, humor.

5. The difference is - our candidates can handle tough questions
Their candidates whine and have temper tantrums and then get all defensive and scream, "librul bias! librul bias!"

8. that's true. keith is intelligent enough to know that our candidates
can handle being asked an entire spectrum of questions

(except, apparently, with ones using the word impeachment)

the rw won't go near a debate with a youtube video question--too risky for them.
