Hill is not Bill.
She is a very bright and hard working woman, but she is not the leader Bill Clinton is. The fact that she doesn't seem to understand the difference is my biggest problem with her. There are leaders and there are the very hard working, bright people behind them. There is a difference.

And yes, we had maternity (sick) leave before - at least those of us who worked at companies that offered it.
The Family Medical Leave Act ensures 12 weeks of protected leave for family or medical reasons (i.e. birth or adoption of child, extended illness of self or immediate family).
Just so you remain informed.:sarcasm:

. . . I give you that, but,
He moved the nation from record deficits to record surpluses; oversaw the creation of over 22 million jobs - a record; historically low levels of unemployment, poverty and crime; oversaw the highest homeownership and college enrollment rates in history. He helped increase investment in education, provided tax relief for working families, expanded access to technology, encouraged investment in underserved communities with enterprise zones and low income loans.
He presided over the largest peacetime economic expansion in history. That's undisputed. Yes there were disaffected folks. But the fact remains that an overwhelming majority of Americans managed well in his economy.

44. Excuse me, I thought your question was whether I was a Dad or a Mom. |
|
One of the guys I work with is now taking advantage of it, though as a Husband, not a Dad. His wife is terminally ill and he needs to stay at home to take care of her. He can do this knowing he has a job when he comes back.
Ironically, you and I agree - no more dynasties, we need someone new with new ideas. It is definitely time for a change. My point was simply that Bill did have some positives. Unfortunately, no one we will end up electing will have zero negatives.

|
who knows what John would have produced on his own; or further, what course his life would have taken. Would he have been so committed to advocating peace without her support? Dunno. My wife always reminds me after one of my rants that SHE was the one who first put the bug in my ear. I deny it, but . . .

I was at a store with my Obama hat on, and the cashier said...'ooo where'd you get that' I figured she was supporting him. Nope... she said she thought she'd choose him for VP. Said she couldn't wait to have Bill back in the White House. A lot of people I talk to supporting Hillary always come down to ... how great it will be when Bill is back in the White House.

46. I for one have never thought her to be simply a side show of her husband. |
|
If some do that is pretty sad, she has made a name all for herself and and such should be applauded not constantly run down.
There is not one person out there that I can agree with one hundred percent of the time, if people are looking for such a candidate it would explain the frustration of far too many.
I think what some fail to realize when looking at individual candidates to vote for fail to realize that the one who holds this nations highest office needs to understand that this country is one of the biggest meling pots of individuals of the whole planet, to wish for our president to cater to one set of needs and or values ensures ending up with someone similar to what we have in office at the present time.
We really have to understand that our neighbors needs are just as important as our own and sometimes we need to make allowances in that we may not always be happy about another's issue being addressed that we may or may not feel is important.
I think the job of holding this country's highest office has got to be one of the hardest jobs out there in that the bottom line is you cannot no matter how much you wish you could please everyone all of the time, it is simply impossible to do.
Do people think it is really that simple to appease every single American citizen in the same vein?
