What the Fisa vote denies:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

...just the beginning

1. isnt it blatantly unconstitutional?
only an amendment can change the constitution so what the fuck is up with the government of this country when they pass laws or sign presidential orders that directly clash with the constitution and then proceed as if they do not.
what sort of government has blatant disregard for its own laws?
i am so seriously sick of our entire corrupt system.

3. The Constitution doesn't seem
to matter, it's all about the politics and power. What really gets me is a lot of people think this is really ok.

4. John Marshall would disagree
"It is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is." - Marbury v. Madison

The courts change the constitution all the time.

5. It Could Be Unconstitutional
But that's only my opinion, there are some here who think that this law is the way to go, and one that I know of who serves in the military. Now we know we're in trouble when a person serving in the military thinks that this new law is totally acceptable.

I guess they forgot that "Support and Defend the Constitution" was a part of their oath, just like the US Congress, and the Executive Branch!

2. NSA has always used 'training exercises' excuse for any screwups that go public

Just read James Bamford's Puzzle Palace and Body of Secrets for background on the history of their organizations. It's all on a wink and a nod. Internal 'oversight' doesn't seem to apply, so where is Congressional oversight on this matter ? All is classified beyond commonsense, therefore the foxes control the henhouse and destroy any who blow the whistle.

A system designed for failures. Domestic ops ALWAYS generate blowback.

6. It also worth noting
that there is no documentation available if falsely accused to exonerate oneself or to even put together a defense should one be guilty of something.
