3. Anybody selling any beachfront property? Serioulsy! |
|
I know there are a lot of folks here from the DC area. I know there are a lot of vacation homes between Virginia Beach and Hatteras Village. Anybody selling in expectation of flooding and loss of property (not caused by beach erosion, but by real sea level rise)?

on the big barrier islands otherwise known as brevard county. the insurance was outrageous. the beaches are non-existent these days. waves lap the dune at high tide. it's already bad.

32. There are NO global warming deniers in the insurance industry |
|
I heard this a few years ago.
They've paid attention to scientist's warnings and they've been quietly changing their policies.
They know that floods, droughts, severe storms, crop failures and insect infestations are coming.

Most of Florida is under 10 feet above sea level. The beach will windup in the southern part of Georgia somewhere. Invest now in Georgia i guess.

of the corporations in Europe, Asia, North America are going to take away what belongs to the people of the world? Where is the voice and action on behalf of the people of the world. Corporations and their respective country governments are lining up for profit. The people be damned unless they are customers with bank accounts.
May the riches of the poles enrich the people who can make it through this. Will it be mountain resorts on Everest or a shared, mostly watered earth planet?

Pretty soon it'll be fucking uncovered and they can do strip mining or some such.
Of course, it'll be 120 degrees up there by the time they do that, but who cares!?!?!?
