So someone asked a question
Edited on Thu Aug-09-07 03:48 AM by MichaelHarris
about Romney's sons, "why do none of the Romney brothers serve in the military?" I read his mind before he opened his mouth, "They don't need to, that's what poor people are for."

When asked about his Vietnam draft dodging past he said, "because of his Mormon missionary work and a high draft number". What he meant to say was, "That's what the colored are for".

Instead of getting shot at in Iraq Romney's sons are, "serving the country by campaigning for him across Iowa in an RV". Iowa is real dangerous, sort of like Iraq I hear. In any event I bet there are at least two or three scared young men and women huddled in some rubble in Iraq willing to do some campaigning somewhere. They didn't get the option really, they were too poor or too black to get the cushy job.

Hell man if I was younger I'd volunteer to campaign for Karl Rove if it kept me from getting my ass shot off. I've had Mormon threads deleted recently, hope this one stays a while. Romney will send your kids to die but he sure as hell won't send his own. Mark my words, he will make his faith an issue just to secure Utah.

1. he doesn't need his faith to secure Utah.
It's the reddest of the red states...anyone with an R pretty much wins.

Except--thank goodness I live here-- in Salt Lake City.

His answers are BS, and I think he's a great example of what a whore looks like--selling his faith for political gain. It's sick, really.

But that's true of all religions.

2. I don't mean to bash the Mormon faith
Edited on Thu Aug-09-07 04:07 AM by MichaelHarris
and I have many Mormon friends I've know for years. Funny thing is they all vote Republican and not one has ever served in the Armed Forces. The most patriotic faith you'll ever meet, unless they have to fight.

I've presented papers on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and it's inception after WWII. I've done research into all the tests conducted on America soil. Through FOI documents surfaced showing the reason some test sites were chosen were because the fallout was over "Mormon" territory. Government officials were told that, "Mormons are so patriotic that they will never sue."

I have a book in my library documenting just that. Cancer rates three times higher than anywhere else, children with leukemia, and sheep dying for no apparent reason. During the testing not one claim was filed. It boggles my mine that they will let their own government bomb them and not serve in times of war. Patriotism is truly a strange thing.

I know I'll be corrected but off the top of my head I can't think of one war hero who is Mormon. Do they have a statue for Mormons who serve? Romney has the gall to say, "his children are serving the nation by campaigning for him". That is just plain and simply a slap in the face of those who have children in Iraq. The man should be ashamed.

I really don't want another post deleted and I'm really trying to be fair and kind. It's just really important to point out these recent Romney quotes.
