2. No, actually it's not.

RFK is great, but he's got a heroin conviction in his past. That's not going to work. Besides, everyone would be nervous about his imminent assassination.

Personally, I would be MORE comfortable with individuals in office who have experimented with drugs, having done so myself a couple of times. (this week! never heroin, though) I think drugs, along with travel, an interest in art, etc, give an individual a wider perspective, and a deeper understanding of what normal people deal with. Al Gore is known to have big a big pothead when he was young, and I think it did him good.

A heroin conviction, however, will ONLY serve to bring out the loonies. It will make it impossible, at that level, to get any real message across. Maybe someday, we'll live in a rational society where these things don't carry the weight that they do now.

Algore is the only person who would get my full, undivided and unwaivering support. So... you're on the right track.

4. Actually, he does not have a conviction on his record.
As I understand it, because of his age, once he did his community service, and paid his fine, his record was wiped clean.

He's never had any trouble again that I know of.
