Essentially the law states that in an online discussion/argument whenever Hitler and/or the Nazis is invoked the debate is ended and the invoker has lost.

It is an overly simplistic solution to a base emotional appeal, particularly now that the U.S. is sliding ever closer to a fascistic state.

I do understand the need for Godwin's law especially in the 90s what with "Feminazis, and Hitlery" Clinton being thrown around left and right. Hell, Santorum compared the Democrats to HITLER HIMSELF for considering the use of the filibuster.

I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, but there is NO BASIS for conservatives to compare liberals to the Nazis or Hitler, especially while they try to turn America into the Fourth Reich.

The chairman of the Clark County Republican Party — who last month was elected president of the Young Republican National Federation — has resigned both posts, apparently in the wake of a criminal investigation.

On Tuesday afternoon, Glenn Murphy Jr. e-mailed media outlets a letter announcing his resignation from both positions, citing an unexpected business opportunity that would prohibit him from holding a partisan political office.

However, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department on Friday began investigating Murphy for alleged criminal deviate conduct — potentially a class B felony — after speaking with a 22-year-old man who claimed that on July 31, Murphy performed an unwanted sex act on him while the man slept in a relative’s Jeffersonville home.

Murphy, a 33-year-old Utica resident, has not been arrested nor has he been charged with a crime ......

When I clicked on the "read more" link on the front page of the link you supplied, my antivirus went freakin' NUTS! So far have removed about 20 trojans... still have something causing popups, which I have NEVER had before clicking this link...

But, I use the Mozilla Firefox browser, which blocks pop-ups, and have anti-virus software that updates at Internet logon.

I'm not faulting you, please don't think that. It's something in the site itself.

I have antivirus and spybot search and destroy. My antivirus went nuts when I clicked the "read more" link on the page. I've run two different antiviruses, plus a trojan killer and spyware killer, but still having trouble. I've been around on the 'net for a long time, and I can usually get rid of these things pretty quickly, but this one is kicking my butt! I'll figure it out soon, or just strip my hard drive and start over..

2007 sexual assault controversy

According to a police report filed with the Clark County Sheriff's office, following a Young Republicans party on July 28, Cameron Kelly convinced her 22-year-old brother and Murphy, 33, to sleep at her house in Jeffersonville, Indiana because they had both drank alcohol at the party. The 22-year-old man woke up the next morning and found Murphy masturbating while performing oral sex on the younger man. He got up and left Murphy behind in the room. Later, Murphy allegedly met with both the brother and sister afterwards, and confirmed that he had performed oral sex on the younger man. Murphy claims that this conversation was taped without his knowledge.<2>
