And so she drove out of my life forever |
|
Yesterday I was on Route 32 in New Windsor heading toward 5 corners. As I pulled up to the red light at five corners, I noticed a bumper sticker on the back of a car in the left lane. The bumper sticker said Boycott Exxon/Mobil and support CITGO.
I thought it was pretty cool. The driver was a thirty something lady. I didn't recognize her and I didn't get a good look at her. I wondered what her politics were. Was she a democrat? Green? Independent? Nonvoter? She had no other bumper stickers on her car. Why did she choose that one? Where did she get it? Does she read DU?
The light turned green, with a green arrow for the lady. We both drove off. I wonder if I will ever find out what the deal with that bumper sticker was.
I always take notice of political bumper stickers (and Grateful Dead stickers too). I've seen alot of 1-20-09 stickers around lately. Lots of W'04 stickers too. I've only seen one support Citgo sticker so far.
