Cindy Sheehan--Stop crying! |
|
Stop the tears, dear! It embarrasses me! I am emotional, too. Had I cried through every staff meeting during my working years, well.....
Who was the presidential candidate who lost her socks when she started crying?????

I've never met a Democratic man who didn't like Pat Schroeder. She's admired and respected as a brilliant and amusing person. Interesting.
So where did you pick up your hatred of Pat Schroeder?

Sorry, but we long time Dem women happen to like Pat Schroeder and are proud of her accomplishments. She's a strong intelligent woman who wasn't afraid to stand up to the GOP.
Anti-Pat Schroeder comments about crying are a big red flag for strange behavior.

Today, some other mothers are crying because their children were killed in this criminal, immoral, and unjust war of aggression.

16. Different views, but only one truth. There's no room for "moral relativism." |
|
There are all kinds of views in the world. But there is a real, existing truth. And any sense of "morality" that would uphold this war as a great cause is truly debased. I could make all sorts of historical analogies, but suffice it to say that all kinds of people were "proud" for their service or their children's service to immoral causes. That does nothing to detract from the truth of its immorality.

But that doesn't mean this country has to squander their lives and sense of altruism.
Good judgement and not squandering lives is kinda something I look for in governments. I don't think I am alone in that.
And people facing grief will hang their hat on any hook that helps them make sense of mind-roasting tragedy. Which is another reason why government should not squander lives. Because if they do, thos people who are hanging their hats on those hooks often have a very nasty cognitive event, later on. It's not attractive to watch.

10. I think the problem with Mrs. Sheehan is that she is still holding onto |
|
the death of her son like it was yesterday. I don't think she has truly allowed herself to greive properly.... Its hard to watch her. Its taking its toll... she really needed a break. I wished she gave herself a proper one instead of propelling forward... but who knows, some of the greatest achievments, inspirations and inventions have come from hardship... never know where one person's pain will lead them or take them.

You may well be emotional...but have you no compassion? I can all too easily imagine losing my son.....I don't know if I could pull it together half as much as Cindy Sheehan has done.
Where is the simple respect for another human being's pain here on DU?

So?
Cindy's emotions are just that -- CINDY's emotions.
And she is entitled to her own emotions.
The fact that YOU are embarrassed by Cindy's emotions -- and that you try to get Cindy to suppress her emotions because YOU fell uncomfortable -- speaks volumes about you.
As someone else said upthread, Cindy cries so that mothers and sisters and brothers (and yes, fathers, too) of young soldiers will no longer have to cry.
And, for God's sake, Cindy lost her SON in this awful war!!
