Laura Bush, daughter Jenna to publish children's book
33 minutes ago

NEW YORK (AFP) - US First Lady Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna are writing a children's book about a mischievous schoolboy, due to be published later this year, publisher HarperCollins announced Thursday.

The picture book, which is so far without a title, is set in a school and tells the story of a young boy who doesn't like to read but ends up delving into books with the help and encouragement of his teacher.

"We know that their experiences as teachers will contribute in so many ways to this project," Susan Katz, President and Publisher of HarperCollins Children's Books, said in a statement announcing the deal.

I thought Jenna was supposed to be the sole author of this thing? Looks like her mother is probably stepping in to rescue the project, which will doubtless be written by a ghostwriter anyway...can't disrupt Jenna from her boozin'...

6. Maybe it's her way of letting the world know...
...she thinks he's as much of an idiot as everyone else does.

Or maybe it's just her subconscious acting out.

7. She's trying to avoid having a job.
She is famous so now she can have others write books for her and collect money without doing much. She is a clever one, after all.

Hiding behind a book is a great way to get away.

Get away with doing a line of coke off the top of your desk, that is.
