Soledad O'Brien asks: "Why are the miner's families so optimistic?".. |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-10-07 09:23 PM by Webster Green
..when the developments seem so grim.
Gee, Soledad...maybe because their loved ones are down there, and they are hoping against hope for their survival!
Why are these dumbass losers like Soledad even on my TeeVee screen? She just a silly little girl, who doesn't have a clue about anything.

1. Yeah, Soledad, you'd just write them off and start spending |
|
the life insurance on shoes.
Damn, I loathe the way GOPs look at the world.

4. Miner's families should ask Soledad why is she so enthusiastic about |
|
the possibility of exploiting their grief?
She's a twit.

5. She is just one of many reason's not to WATCH the news. Give them |
|
enough air time and they can't help say something crude, stupid, or insensitive. And they're too stupid to know or understand what they're doing.

7. Well...uh--to be fair, it looks kind of impossible for anyone to have |
|
survived this--hell, it registered as a seismic incident. Imagine the scale and force of it underground. There's only 7% oxygen where they think the miners might be--not enough to support life for very long. There's not much cause for optimism, simply put.

8. Seems that you (not unlike the bimbo) have missed the point.. |
|
But...surely you can understand why the families might hold on to hope for the survival of their loved ones, and how it might be a tad insensitive for a dumb-ass talking head to question that optimism.

10. Well, I just didn't think the question was all that awful. Maybe a bit insensitive, |
|
as you say, but nothing I'd be outraged about. I'm sure the family members, anxious and clinging to hope as they are, know that they are facing some increasingly slim odds of their loved ones' survival.
