I met the father of a a soldier serving in Iraq a few weeks ago, he told me |
|
that Blackwater will automatically hire any soldier who serves 3 tours of duty, and the Blackwater salary makes the military salary look like pocket change. So the father's son is gung ho to finish his tour so he can apply as soon as he's out

not to pick a job as a mercenary, or sniper, or assassin, which Blackwater is recruiting to employ for "domestic deployment".
Please know I'm not saying its easy W8liftinglady.
I have my share of difficulties as well.
The past six years have not been easy for me to be estranged and ostracized by members of my family due to my opposition to this Administration and their policies, in addition to their close connections to those in the White House. I won't address the harassment and privacy invasions because of my choice to speak out.
My concern for America is it will only be compounded for all Americans when Blackwater gets the green light and as the economy continues to be squeezed and people potentially become more desperate.

3. his outlook was that the situation of having military pay what it is |
|
versus being an automatic hire for a job that pays multiple times more is a temptation for any well meaning young soldier so he understands his son's desire, doesn't approve of it, but feels it's not up to him to tell his son what to do

12. Ironic. The government that pays a soldier, airman, etc. working in the military |
|
one-third of what that same government will pay a private mercenary for the same job. But in order to qualify for the mercenary job, you have to manage not to be killed in Iraq while in the military.
