3. Strange, he doesn't strike me that way.
I Watched bits and pieces of his presentation during the night and he appears to be one of those oh-so-serious foreign policy wonks who got to where he is because he embraced the prevailing wisdom-a "scholar," as it were.
I was depressed and unimpressed with what he said yesterday. Maybe it'll be different, today. He thinks we need to stay in Iraq, where we are the principal cause of unrest, until forever, trying to quell the unrest.

4. he called bush's often touted iraqi election a total sham.
hardly a syncophant.

we had NO PLANS to secure saddam's owm weapons caches.
and they remain unguarded even today.

10. True. I owe it to him, you and myself to remain as open minded
as the discussion calls for.

5. the amount of spin coming out of this admin is the worst ever -
basra's failure may be news to the Washington Post, but not to anyone else.

6. No Questions About The Pollack/O'Hanlon Crap??
Ahhh...Steve Skully doing his best to shill for the regime. Why doesn't he ask Cordesman his reaction to those reports about "progress being made".

Now let's see how many wingnuts call in and try to call this man a traitor.

11. Were Any Of Us
Greg Sargent and Glenn Greenwald have been doing a great job following the astroturfing of the Pollack/O'Hanlon crap while ignoring the report of the third member of that group that went to Iraq...Cordesman.

I see he didn't come out and blast his buddies, but he sure didn't give them an endorsement.

12. He called Biden's Iraq realignment plan "ridiculous"
but I wasn't very impressed with his reason.
I'd like to hear those two debate it.
