If Pelosi wont impeach until she knows she has the votes, why'd she bring the spy bill to the floor? |
|
This has to be one of the biggest blunders in legislative history---unless she wanted it to happen...

4. Yep--something's up here. They're rolling over, and it's not just |
|
because they're weak and afraid of losing political advantage in the event of a terror strike--and if that WERE the case, by the way, then they've sold out our civil liberties for political gain, which is almost as bad anything Chimpy does.

I'm stunned and furious. I was always pretty hard on Pelosi and Reid, and even I didn't think they would do something this bad.
If they think I won't still be furious when they get back from their luxurious vacations, they are so, so wrong.

8. Cause That Will Die In The Senate, Too |
|
Anything that passes out of the House is now bottled up by McConnell in the Senate. Almost any controversial bill will require 60 votes just to get a hearing...they don't even get an up or down vote. With that roadblock, there's precious little that can or will go through until the filibuster is broken.

9. We'd be better off if this congress just sat out the rest of its term. |
|
It's escalated the war in Iraq and given the executive branch more dictatorial powers. It's like the worst presidency ever meets the worst congress ever (I guess it's supposed to be better than the one it replaced, but it's so hard to see).

10. she's under the strange impression that passing legisaltion is good |
|
no matter what.
We would be better off with congress not bringing a single bill to the floor for the rest of the term.
And I have some suggestions about what they can do in all their spare time.
