People support the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity because illegal immigrants are taking their jobs
Edited on Sat Aug-11-07 09:48 PM by live love laugh
What will it take for them understand that their jobs have been exported by the very people that they support--that their jobs have been sent overseas and we are all in this thing together?

I've said before Americans are sneaking across the northern borders for health care while South Americans sneak into America for the few remaining jobs we have.

We are all in the same boat.

Together.

1. Limpballs and Handjob also support the very same people who export
the jobs.

10. Of course Hannity and Limbaugh support Bush's policies. That goes without saying.
They and the media in general are Bush's echo chamber.

3. Not always
I know people whose jobs are unlikely to be taken by illegal immigrants who still listen to Limbaugh.

5. Yes, I know the "educated" listen as well. They believe they are
being supportive of Americans whose jobs are on a level competitive with immigrant jobs by supporting immigration policies that are just diversionary tactics.

4. You mean illegal immigrants are going on disability and
sitting in the freepers' mother's basements listening to limpballs and insannity? Cause that's the only job most of their listeners have.

11. The people in the basement can't understand that they are unemployable
by any standard--illegal immigration or not. But, in true RepubliCon hypocritical fashion, they blame their plight on someone else.

6. What you say is so true.
I have been trying to get this across.

Today I listened off and on to GOP Straw Poll in Iowa on C-Span.
C-Span, as most know, has these open phones period, when people
can call in and comment from across the US. There were Democrats
calling in( I have listened to C_Span for so many years, I can
usually tell if the person is faking it). These people sounded
like real Democrats. They were saying that if our party does
not get straightened out on Immigration, they will go with the
Republicans this time around.

Immigration was one of central issues discussed by all GOP Candidates.
Yes, I am aware the GOP is making it a wedge issue and exploiting
the issue for political gain. Some parts in the speeches made me
cringe. The GOP recognized years ago that elections are won on
emotion. They practice a "dark" populism. However, just remember
how they won the South to their side. This is a challente for
our Party. We cannot alienate our rank and file Democrats.
The term Illegal Immigrants is here to stay. A real challenge.

One of the Democratic Party Callers spelled it out: They take
our job, by working at those low wages, they pull our wages
down, Our jobs have been sent overseas. Our tax money is used
to provide them health care, and educate their kids. We do
not have health care. There is resentment growing --I could
not believe Congress seems totally oblivious.

7. The scapegoating is working. I've never heard so much raw hatred
in my life than these people when they call into Washington Journal.
