So Mitt admits his five sons are chicken hawks
Edited on Sun Aug-12-07 12:35 AM by book_worm
I read that Mitt was asked why none of his five adult sons are serving in the military--or more directly--in Iraq. Mitt bypassed that and said they are trying to help the country by helping to make their dear old dad president. I assume that his sons, like Mitt himself, support the Iraqi war and by advocating that war without serving makes them, imo, chicken hawks. Hasn't this country had enough chicken hawks? I'm tired of people who support the war but expect other people to die for it.

1. I remember at one of the Democratic debates
there was a caller asking whether any of them had kids serving in Iraq. I do hope the gop candidates get asked that same question.

2. You know what I find hilarious and tragic at the same time?
One the networking site Facebook.com, there is a global (meaning all schools and networks can join) group called "Stay in Iraq until the job is finished". The group basically says, well, beyond the title, that Dems are cowards and work for terrorists and all this shit.

Funny thing is, they have a blurb on the main page of the group site that lists memebers of group who are in the military (who knows if they really are, or if its BS). There are like twenty names.

But there are sixty thousand fucking students in that group. Sixty thousand people. Many between the ages of 18 and 25. Imagine if even a third of them enlisted....

Of course, they won't.....
