Who are the foreign fighters in Iraq?

An NBC News analysis finds 55 percent hail from Saudi Arabia

An NBC News analysis of hundreds of foreign fighters who died in Iraq over the last two years reveals that a majority came from the same country as most of the 9/11 hijackers — Saudi Arabia.

Among the suicide bombers was Ahmed al-Ghamdi, a one-time medical student and son of a Saudi diplomat. In December 2004, he climbed into a truck in Mosul and blew himself up.

On an Internet video, another Saudi says goodbye to his mother, then drives an ambulance full of explosives into a building.

They are among more than 400 militants from 21 countries whose deaths were celebrated on Islamic Web sites over the last two years.

"By far the nationality that comes up over and over again is Saudi Arabia," says Evan Kohlmann, an NBC News terrorism expert.

The NBC News analysis of Web site postings found that 55 percent of foreign insurgents came from Saudi Arabia, 13 percent from Syria, 9 percent from North Africa and 3 percent from Europe.

5. ...because then people might realise
that Bush and his buddies provide cannon-fodder for both sides of this war and then rake in the profits from military contracts and rocketing oil prices.

6. Same reason they never mention the fact that he didn't win either election.
The level of media manipulation by the right wing is huge. Also the
Saudis are invested in American media too.

7. I've said this often enough. In conversations I'll mention this and get blank stares.
I then go on to remind people:

The majority of the hijackers Sept. 11 were Saudi.

That Osama Bin Laden is Saudi. And, expressly said he wanted American bases out of SA.

That the Saudis are just sitting back and raking in billions with the crude oil prices going up, up, up.

And, that they are among the top of list for Human Rights Abuse.

But corporomedia spin has somehow given the Saudis some kind of benign glow, while the Iranians are painted as rabid nuclear war mongers.

including nuclear,to Iran, but we are only allowed to watch while they screw each other and cause deaths on both sides of the ocean. The status of Iran is about sustaining hate for war profits. Ve must have an enemy at all times. Pakistan - Cheney, friends. Saudi Arabia - Cheney, friends. Jordan - U.S., long time friends. Egypt - U.S., long time friends. Some even torture for us and lie for us. Some hold things down for us and play diplomat or provocateur for us.

New axis of evil: Iran, insurgents, insurgent-chameleons, protesters.

The ones who really love us right now are the ones who take the weapons we GIVE to them and allow them to steal.

Yes, Brewster-Jennings had to be taken down.
