The wheels continue to come off and the Brits are getting ready to pull out of Basra. The supply route for US troops will soon be in jeopardy meaning Bush will need more troops. The big question is where will he get them?

2. A friends brother is back on his third tour....

He 'finished' his commitment 2 years ago. When he was back this spring, he woke up swinging every morning. She had to wake him with a broom handle so as not to get hit. He cant work because he hits people. He goes to jail all the time for hitting people. He says its a reaction, like flinching, from IEDs and being mortored. She tells me he never ever got in fights before going to Iraq. He says they wont let him out, nobody gets out, he says. Especially for psychological reasons. He says all they do is escort contractor convoys. He said the convoys travel at 60 - 75 mph and don't stop for anything....he is a driver and a sentry. He says he is screwed up from running over little kids and innocents who cant get out of the way fast enough. He told her when he left, "you think I'm crazy now? Wait til I come back next time." Basically the only way out is by getting killed or maimed. His life is ruined.

4. I send packages and get letters of working 6 12hour days

in a row. A person can't keep that up forever
something breaks down fatigue thats it

and Bush takes vacations all the time

after General Betrayus' report, come September. Everything is just peachy-keen in Iraq and our soldiers are so fucking happy there that they'll need plastic surgery to remove the smiles from their faces if they return. Oops, I mean WHEN they return. :sarcasm:

Yep, I expect everything is going amazingly well and in all accordance with "surge" plans. It just needs a bit more time to succeed, that's all. :eyes: Lather, rinse, repeat...... until January, 2009. :banghead:
