Just saw "Shut Up and Sing" -- what happened next? |
|
First off, those three women are national treasures and it's so nice to see that they were indeed vindicated in the end. It's also sickening to see the clips from all of the rednecks who fed into the backlash.
That all said, what happened next from a business perspective? I know about the Grammys and the critical acclaim, but what happened with the "sluggish" ticket sales at the end? And what about album sales? I can Google the actual number sold, but have no idea what's good or bad in the recording industry.

they had fantastic ticket sales in the larger markets and had to (maybe?) cancel some shows in the more country-focused markets. there album was a success, though, as was the tour ... regardless of how the media will try to spin it.

The Eagles; tickets go on sale on Monday at 10am and I plan on being online at 9:30am. What a match up.

4. That will be an awesome show. I saw the Chicks live--great musicianship and performers. |
