I'm curious. WHO protects us from a run amok executive? |
|
Seriously.
It can't be JUST Congress, can it?
I mean, don't we have multiple (actually TONS) of offices and officials ALL SWORN to protect the American people from being violated?
Aren't there lots of 'law enforcement' entities set up to protect us from predators and oppressors?
I remember,....PRIOR TO THE "shock and awe" AT IRAQ,...numerous members in the 'law enforcement' community, cheering and honking.
I am thinking, there are too many wondering whether they can take back power from those who are clearly willing to be reckless,...rather than challenge those fuckers with utmost confidence that, not only will the American people back them up, the whole HUMAN WORLD will CHEER!!!!
Why allow those fucks another milli-second of believe THEY CAN CONTROL THE WORLD.
END THIS!!!! END IT NOW!!!

1. If there's a showdown between the Executive and the Legislative, the corral where |
|
that gunfight happens is
The Supreme Court!!!
See why it's a standoff? You really want those assholes making the decision, given the current makeup of the court?

2. That's the end-line, which could take forever. What about the immediate zones of,... |
|
,...protection.
Did you know ANY politican or government official could be immediately thrown in prison?
YUP!!!
NO ONE is immune from ALL LAWS in this nation.
I wonder why people act like an elected official is immune from our laws?
It's silly.

3. It is just soooooooooooo damned frustrating. Criminals should not be |
|
permitted to run this country into the ground. I can't believe we can't do something without a stroke or a heart attack.

5. You can hit that end line pretty quick, or are you forgetting Bush V. Gore? |
|
That was greased lightning, that trip to the Supremes.
If Bush needs a ruling, it'll be greased lighting again.
Like I said, that's why there's a standoff. We can't play this game of Ultimate Chicken until a few crazies drop off the court, either through voluntary retirement, chronic illness, or death, and a few sane justices are chosen to replace them.

4. The original design of the Democratic government... |
|
The government that was set forth by our founding fathers was supposed to have a set of checks and balances. 3 branches of government, Executive, Legislative and Judicial, all designed to keep the other from wielding too much power. Over the last 60 years the "Republicans" aided by the Democrats have shifted power from branch to branch and changed the form of government in such a drastic manner. The founding fathers would not even recognize it in it's current form.
