While Freerepublic is at the top, they don't have much theo-corporate, back to the Middle Ages company.

1. Why is FR on top
if their membership is way smaller than ours?

I would think something like HuffPo would be better trafficked than FR?

2. Clearly FR is cheating...
:)

Either that or there are a lot of nutjobs clicking on that site, because anytime I've been there it's been pretty pathetic.

But look at HuffPost, isn't that great?

And as much as I'd like DU to have bigger market share, it sure feels big enough to me.

5. FR probably gets a lot of lurkers who can barely type the address...
asking them to compose a semi-coherent screed about bashing gays, killing A-rabs, and cutting taxes is more than they can handle.

"Hey, Rufus, yu ever wonder where all them words come from on freerepublic? you think god puts em there or does Rush jes think em and they appear, like my fleas?"

While liberal and left-leaning Internet users are split between all the good liberal and left-leaning sites out there.

If you add up all the left-of-center market share, it adds up to 17.79% - nothing to sneeze at.

7. ranking of candidate websites raises some questions on both sides of the aisle:
For the Democrats, why is Hillary considered the inevitable nominee when Obama looks twice as popular?

(I know the depressing answer, so it's mostly a rhetorical question)

For the GOP, how the fuck did Romney win that straw poll when Ron Paul gets three times the hits?

Why is Rudy considered a major contender when his appeal looks like it's comparable to Biden on the Democrats side (and Biden doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell).

Like the Hillary question, I know the answer to the Rudy one--people with money like him. But it is surprising to see that all the pro-Rudy propaganda hasn't helped him much. Maybe he needs to find one of his kids that LIKES him and have them post on facebook.

18. That's funny, I thought Daily Kos was the leader of political blogs
could it be he's loosing people because of his controversial rules and guidelines over there. I left from over there when they started ridiculing people for even mentioning 9/11, and when Kos made demeaning remarks against protesters. What's up with Malkin I thought she was one of the knuckdragger's favorite

21. there seems to be a lot of policing of 9/11. in some places, it's just relegated to the backwaters
Dems are worried that if the 9/11 narrative changes, they won't be able to take over as the new stewards of the War on Terror. The public won't play along if they figure out that the same gang that charges them for protection threw the brick through their window to make them want protection.
