For those financial type folks out there |
|
If you had some silver (in bars--.999)...would you hang on or sell and wait? Do you expect it to go up? At what price would you unload? Thanks.

1. Without some compelling reason, I'd hold. |
|
If I had to sell, I'd sell for Euros not dollars.
$.02

not knowing when you acquired the silver, i can't really say, but just how far do you expect it to go? i got some around $6 an ounce back in the day, yes, i need to get off my duff and unload it before it drops too far below $12
silver is no longer needed in such things as photo processing of film, it's a digital world
i think it has gone about as far as it can be expected to go, considering there is a BUTTLOAD of silver jewelry out there already, it just doesn't have much intrinsic value
with speculative items if you have gain, you need to sell and realize the gain...or it will be too late
just ask anyone who bought emus
nothing wrong with some profit taking

6. The prices now are pretty good as pitoui says |
|
but a lot of the speculation is that it will go much higher...I value the input of the DU financial wizzes out there...just wanting to know if I am doing the right thing.

7. I'd never bet the farm |

on timing any market. I'd try to sell parts of it over a 2 year period. 25% every 6 months. You'll get profits, most likely on the first 2 sales. Then you'll be betting less on the rest. I'm betting it will rise against the dollar. Good luck.

8. I fyou have ANY asset, and DON'T desperately need the money, just sit tight.. |
|
People rush to "cash out" and often end up losing money..
No one's taking anything with them when they die, so what's the rush :)
My advice would be to :
drive less buy less save more cook homemade meals and eat at home pare down lifestyles don't read every article about "the panic"..
sit tight and smell the flowers :)
