Today's prayer for victory over evil from the 'Baghdad Prayer Patrol'.
http://prayercentral.net/baghdad/?page_id=7

My niece, a born again Christian raised and home schooled by republican born again Christians, arrived for duty in Iraq last week, she drives a supply truck for the Army, she joined up at age 30 to fight for our freedoms. She sent this website to my mother, also a born again Christian, but a Democrat.

15-Thwart the plans of the wicked
Scripture: “The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.” - Psalm 9:16

Prayer: Lord, You are God and there is no other; You reign in the heavens, and nothing escapes Your notice. You are a God of justice, and Your ear is open to the cry of the righteous.

We ask that You would oppose those who hate peace in Baghdad. Send Your angels to resist those who love violence, and thwart the plans of the wicked. Disallow destructive schemes and devices. Bring confusion, doubt, and fear into the hearts and minds of those who are planing evil in Baghdad today. Cause the bombs planted by terrorist to misfire today, and bring no harm to the innocent.

Even as Your word says, “the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands,” let this apply to the bombmakers in Baghdad today, may they be ensnared by the work of their own hands.

We thank You Lord, that nothing is too difficult for You, and we agree together for victory. In Jesus name, amen.

When the reality of potential death at any moment dawns on her. I hope she returns safe and in one piece.

6. "and bring no harm to the innocent"
It mostly sounds like a prayer for peace and/or protection. Which one of those are you against?

7. LOL
It sounds like the same sort of "victory over the infidel" prayer one might expect from the person in the picture.

8. Could you point out where?
What I'm looking at is asking that bomb-makers not murder innocent civilians. Yeah, a real warrior prayer there. I guess I'm a warmonger too, along with everyone who has prayed for a lessening of the grotesque bloodshed there.

11. Yes, and where in the prayer does it say that's good?

9. “the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands,” bush/cheney that is.
I'm against any call for a prayer for 'victory' that will never occur.

12. The naivete of the notion of victory is not the same as
being some terrible war prayer like you tried to pass it off as.

15. Is one of those other offers
a reply to my posts that isn't constructed with dusty, painfully unwitty cliches? Otherwise I don't think you have much to offer.
