Prelude to Montebello, Quebec meeting August 20th

(scroll to bottom)

C-Span2, way after midnight on August 14, presented two forums where speakers gave pro and con views on economic ties among Canada, the United States, and Mexico, all to be discussed at the upcoming Montebello,Canada meeting next week. This all leads up to the
controversial, suspected formation of the so-called North American Union. Key names among speakers were James Jones, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico from 1993 to 1997 who pushed the success of NAFTA and Robert Pastor of American University, Washington, DC, who denied he was the "architect" of the North American Union idea. One John Fonte did a good job of challenging the NAU on the matter of "sovereignty" of nations. They can talk of economic ties, but the destruction of the national sovereignty of the three North American nations is another matter! Heads up on this one. We need more transparency on the whole issue. Notice that this was presented in the wee hours of the morning, NOT during prime time!!!

1. K&R This is so important. Another disastrous happening in the
month of August......we should be as wary of this as * was unwary of the now infamous 2001 PDB about Osama's intentions! The New World Order is unfolding...imho.

2. As it stands right this minute,
Canada has much more to lose by an association of this kind. I object. Sincerely.

3. It is very important to keep a very close eye and ear to the ground...
on this "SPP", as they call it, everything is kept from the public on this and that does NOT bode well, imo. There has been talk that this "plan" will not have to go before Congress or Parliament to be approved and, if so, that is even more cause for concern!

Thanks, donsu, for posting this, much appreciated.

4. It's entirely and profoundly undemocratic.
This is an alliance between the corporate puppet masters and the political élite. It has nothing to do with the rest of us and it is being agreed to in secret; the corporate media does not cover this, in the same way that it does not cover depleted uranium.
