"Take Out SF Or Some Other City Full Of Dirty Libs, & Then Country Will Rally Behind GOP"
ME-Sen: Susan Collins wants terrorist attack on SF
by kos
Wed Aug 15, 2007 at 07:44:51 AM PDT

Under the Collins campaign's own rules, anything written in the comments of a blog is representative of those who run the blog.

So since the Maine Web Report is run by Collins' director of online communications, we can say this comment essentially came out of Susan Collins' mouth:

28. Because those 'pukes now entrenched in power hate just about everything in the
Preamble to the Constitution, most of the Constitution, and almost all founding principles. That's why they hate America and have made a mockery of democracy, liberty, freedom, equal justice under the law, the separation of church and state, the separation of powers, the three equal major branches of government, the land of the free and home of the brave, fiscal sanity, any entitlement not an entitlement just for corporations or the most affluent among us, ad infinitum.

2. I used to like going down there.........
I have friends there (family has come back to Canada). It's getting less appealing to visit them every year, although at least two of my friends have ditched Texas for Colorado. They say it's a more comfortable environment, and they don't mean the weather.

I loved living in Toronto for four years, though.

4. Arthur Frain would never say that
He was a character in Zardoz.
And, incidentally, they need to remember that as this hypothetical disaster is on Junior's watch, it will be their fault it gets through.
If of course they don't just do it them selves.

5. Wasn't New York filled with dirty libs too?
I imagine Susan moistened her panties when 9/11 happen too. Isn't there some way we can send these troglodytes back to their cave?

6. Someone should gather up evidence
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 01:15 PM by tblue37
from all the RW writers, politicians, and on-air personalities and callers who keep saying we need another 9/11 and then make a video to be shown during the 2008 campaign.

I would love for the American voters to see, one after another, all the RW idiots calling for another 9/11. John Gibson and one of his RW callers were also openly wishing for another 9/11 on air. See the threads about it on the "Greatest" page. Here is a link to one:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x47413

Here is another, with reference to Stu Bykofsky, a RW columnist for The Philadelphia Daily News, who called for another 9/11 in a column in a PA newspaper::

9. so she is, in effect admitting
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 01:21 PM by GTRMAN
that the sinking GOP that is going down the tubes with their "fearless leader" and is so devoid of any ideas to salvage their image and win elections that the only hope they have left is another terrorist attack on the US. The fact that it would be a city full of "Dirty Libs" would just be icing on the cake to them.

Priceless. ;)

12. I wonder if our Senator and her staff
realize Portland, Maine has its share of dirty libs as does the rest of our state. She has quite obviously caught whatever right wing nut virus her conjoined twin, Joe LIEberman, is carrying.

I will be helping Tom Allen out in any way I can and it will be a pleasure to see Collins loose in 2008.

15. Yes, it appears Collins is operating under the GOP false meme
that conservatives are the majority of the American people. She has bought into her own party's propaganda.

Taking out one "liberal" city and she believes the rest of the country will fall in line behind her and the other GOPers? She is so delusional.

Good to see there is a good Dem candidate running against her.

25. I think Allen can win.
The timing is right and Allen is a solid and respected candidate. If the Collins camp wants to keep saying stupid things like this, I say give 'em a microphone, video camera and some air time.

I heard a tidbit on Maine Things Considered (MPBN)that said Collins has made a formal request of Tom Allen's campaign to stop sending trackers to her events. I guess she is trying to avoid a Macaca moment at her right wing events that will alienate the Maine Dem & Indy voters who mysteriously have kept voting for her. Hopefully this comment about taking out an American city to grow political support for her deranged party, even if she didn't actually say it, grows long legs.

27. Can she be any more hypocritical
I saw that she had her campaign manager write Allen and ask that he cease and desist. Geeze, she is out in the public making public statements and complains when her opponent is recording public appearances?

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys up there. Give her a good fight.
