My b-i-l moved freight for 24+ years. Here's another job that has gone away. |

He was a great employee, not one sick day, and five months before he turned 60, they are done with him. I know the guy and think it sucks. And I really like him: he's my twin sister's hubby.

Did that kill any retirement benefits he might have had coming, or did they at least keep that?
What the hell does someone do when you're out of work and that close to retirement age? Age discrimination is very real. There aren't a lot of jobs out there for older folks.
