Kucinich: Bush Big Brother Spy Policy Is Un-American
Kucinich: Bush Big Brother Spy Policy Is Un-American

.............

"This new domestic spying program is against everything this country stands on," Kucinich said. "The Bush Administration's constant disdain for the Constitution has actively and systematically violated the civil liberties of American citizens and this policy must be reversed.

"The Administration has once again acted to violate our civil liberties and our trust by allowing domestic law enforcement agencies the ability to spy on American citizens using the intelligence capabilities previously reserved for our foreign intelligence objectives. Big Brother will now employ its most invasive and powerful intelligence tools directly upon American citizens.

"The new domestic spying program is just another way the Administration continues to ignore the Constitution. The USA PATRIOT Act, the Military Commissions Act, expansion of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib have all resulted in attacks on civil liberties.

"This Orwellian policy is yet another example of the Administration's continued desire to deliberately eliminate the Constitutionally-derived civil liberty rights from American citizens.

3. I wonder what Hillary, Obama, and Edwards have to say about this
I'm sure Hillary will give an impassioned speech about our civil liberties in this country...at some point.
