I could not care less about Bush's demon spawn. But when i speak of them, it is with vitriol rivaling that which the Right Wing used on Chelsea and, before her, Amy Carter.

Both of these DEMOCRATIC first daughters were wonderful girls and have become wonderful women.

The Bush spawn .... not so much.

So if I am to be nice to them, you (media and RW PR groups) be nice to me. Kepp them the fuck outta my face. I don't care about the tacky upcoming wedding. I don't care if she's with child. I don't care if she blew the whole football team.

K?

11. When Chelsa was only 13
they called her ugly and a "dog."

That's outrageous.

5. I get most (nearly all) of my news here
and I've heard more about this than I ever wanted to. Here.

So the rationale is now, "well, they did it to Chelsea!" ???

She's a rich little twit getting married to another rich little twit and why should we care?

Well, I don't.

10. I think Jenna Bush is fair game and here's why
Bush has no problems with sending our kids to Iraq - what about sending his own kids. Hell Prince Henry from England volunteered to serve in Iraq. I'm sure the kid who is 3rd in line to the throne gets special privledges over there but at least he served.

Bush created a law in Texas for underage drinking repeat offenders. The law include jailtime for those busted 3 times. Jenna has been busted 3 times for underage drinking - when has she served time in Jail. Or is this law just for the poor schmucks who can't afford a lawyer.

Bush has promoted an 'abstinence-only' sex education policy and Jenna is looking a little 'porky' around the mid section. Either all those margaritas are catching up to her or perhaps she's got a bun in the oven. If she's pregnant now then yes, she's fair game. Why should piss poor sex-education programs be forced on our children and yet overlooked for his.

Karl Rove resigns last week. Rumor has it that Abramoff is implicating him in several illegal operations. Now suddenly Jenna Bush is engaged to a boy that even Laura Bush claimed 'just a friend and not someone she (jenna) would marry'. Ironically the kid was an aide to Karl Rove - is this marriage hush money for someone who might have the dirt on what Rove was doing?

Finally, outside of the typical secret service protection provided by those serving in the white house, even those there illegally, I better not find out that one damn taxpayer's penny is spent in financing this wedding I'll be absolutely pissed.

12. Don't forget the RNC speech
If you campaign for daddy, then you are fair game. Plus, they are both nearly adults, not 'children' any more.

I don't care for the politics of personal destruction though, or hatred for hatred's sake. I hate Bush because of his evil policies. His kids, outside of campaigning for him, have nothing to do with those. My raison d'etre is to mobilize people against Bush and against Bush policies by spreading the truth about how bad those policies are. If I attack his kids, IMO, that makes me just look like a mean, hateful person. Then it looks like I hate Bush policies, not because they are bad policies, but just because I hate Bush. Hurts my credibility.

(Not that I have alot of that, even here, outside of my own mind, where, of course, it is legendary.) Hurts the credibility of the left if that's how we operate.

OTOH, putting a spotlight on their bad behaviour is not the same as an attack. Republicans are the ones who make 'character' an issue over policy. Well, then poorly behaved kids show bad parenting skills which under-cut the supposed character of the Republican candidate.

send those little twits first.

14. When bad policy endangers the kids of average citizens, showing the contrast
of how the spoiled kids of the rich and infamous policy makers live in their protected little safe zones seems fair game to me. In fact, it seems like responsible journalism.

I do not want to hear reports about their social whirl. I want to hear reports showing the contrast of their safe, comfy lives to the dangers the troops deal with, the hopelessness of the poor, the stress of those trying to work their way through school, in hopes there just MIGHT BE a job at the end of it...

Show the contrast. Show the hypocrisy. Keep the menu and gown details for the society page.

I hope she trips walking down the aisle and ends up looking like Marsha Brady after the dreaded "football incident".
