FISA is great.
Just think: If we give the President the power to listen in on gun owners, we can prevent hundreds of thousands of gun crimes, including tens of thousands of murders. So, why waste time on insignificant threats like terrorism, which pale by comparison?

I figure many guns and ammunitions are made outside the U.S., anyways, in "Foreign" countries, so I don't see any problem applying an applicable wiretapping program under the existing (new) law. And even if the weapons are technically made in the U.S., you know there's a chance that some of the materials were imported, or maybe even touched by Muslims at some point.

Constitutional guarantees are in place when it comes to doing what is necessary to protect our homeland. Everything changed on 9/11. This law was written in... 2007!

1. I think you are onto something really BIG here, Thyme!
You don't even HAVE to prove that the guns were ACTUALLY touched by a Muslim for the laws to apply.

The latest stats I saw were that most of the guns used in crimes in New York originated in VA, FL, GA, SC, NC. Now those of you who study history, unlike the chimp, may recall that during the Late Unpleasantness, those particular five states chose to reside outside the USA, ipso facto FOREIGN states.

There it is, Thyme...all you need to forge full-speed ahead. New York is again being terrorized by foreign states, and we sure as hell deserve to hear what every last one of those gun-loving folks say when they call momma on momma's day.
