Dick Armey Launches Petition Attack On Crist's Climate Change Initiative
Wonder if this is part of Jeb's devious plans? Time will tell.

Armey Launches Petition Attack On Crist

by William March
August 17, 2007

Former Republican House majority leader Dick Armey, now head of a national conservative organization, has launched a petition drive opposed to Gov. Charlie Crist’s climate change initiative.

Armey doesn’t mince words in his attacks on Crist.

“When people heard Charlie Crist’s promises to follow in the conservative legacy of Jeb Bush and voted for him to be governor of Florida, they didn’t expect to get Nancy Pelosi. Yet just months into office, that’s exactly what Gov. Crist is becoming,” Armey says on the for the web site for the online petition being sponsored by his organization, FreedomWorks.

Armey advertised the petition in an email news release. The petition drive isn’t taking the state by storm yet—the site shows 118 signers so far.

The petition says says Crist “should end his efforts to appease the far left and the liberal media” through his executive orders to cut carbon emissions from Florida power plants and cars.

Last week, Crist dismissed Armey’s attacks bluntly—“He’s not a Floridian, so why should I care?”

1. Next time they feel the bite of a climate change magnified
hurricane, they should drag Armey down there and leave him in the path. Tell him to attack THAT.
