Melanie Morgan insulted Chris Matthews and her video feed went down

She told him that she could see a gleam in his eye over his going after Cheney today because of how prescient Cheney was about Iraq back in 1994. He showed the You Tube video of Cheney talking about why they didn't invade Iraq during Bush I administration.

Chris asserted that he hates the war. He was very insulted over Morgan's "gleam in your eye" comment. And before the segment was over, Morgan's video feed went out but you could still see the other two guests. I think this is the last time Morgan will be on his show.

She's so calm and collected. So Morgan always ended her comment with some snarky ad hominem attack. I hope they really did pull the pin on her instead of it being a coincidence. Chris said 'thank you' as soon as it happened. I imagined he ran his thumb across his throat when he was off camera and they ended her feed.

When he had guests that were pro war, military people, people who serve in the administration and such he'd sit there and "yeah" them. He never seriously asked them the toughest questions that someone who opposed the invasion would have asked. The follow ups were weak. It was agonizing to watch. So in his effort to have a cheek on either side of the fence, he helped the cheerleaders.

I understand your point. But I also saw him always lean right wing over the years and lend his pulpit to that side. Like when he interviewed Kucinich about the war and literally made fun of him as DK talked about peace. Treated him like he was some amusing figurine in a snow globe. Trivializing the anti war position while at the same time waxing over musky manly toughness and a fighting spirit enabled the invasion and occupation, imo.
