What other ways can things go wrong besides "Something was about to go terribly wrong...?"
Or can things only go wrong by going "terribly wrong?"

1. Well, there are wonderfully wrong things:
  • A second scoop of French Silk ice cream.
  • Getting horribly confused and accidentally wandering into the women's volleyball showers
  • Mistakenly signing up for Noam Chomsky's course.
  • Based on bad information, entering your daughter in the Junior Olympics state championships -- and finding out that she's not as fast as you'd hoped but she has crazy hops.
  • Listening with horror as your son innocently tells the most arrogant Brit you've ever encountered that, "The greatest contribution to the arts by the English was Benny Hill", and then watching the snooty bastard's head explode.

Sometimes, you just have to let it all play out.

2. That is hilarious - thank you.
I love the last one - I despise English snobs and I love it when they get their comeuppance.
