All this talk about Tricia Nixon Cox reminds me of a story:
Edited on Fri Aug-17-07 06:47 PM by PCIntern
My wife and I live in the Eastern Main Line area of Philly, and one night, we decided to go to a fairly well-known restaurant in Gladwyne (Very hoity-toity town, mediocre food - typical!) and have dinner. We were sitting at a deuce, next to another couple, and I kept making head movements towards the couple and Mrs. PC, who's very bright, was trying to figure out who they were, but to no avail.

Finally, they left, and she asked me, in a rather exasperated fashion (she's in good practice with me!) who the heck they were.

I smiled, and replied, "Why, that was David and Julie Eisenhower."

As soon as I said that, she said, "I can't believe that I didn't recognize them."

Last I heard, he's a fairly well-regarded professor at Penn, actually, the students are very respectful of him and he apparently runs a good class.

1. Isn't one of Nixon's granddaughters an actress?
I think one of Julie and David's kids.

8. Wow, she's beautiful. I always thought the Nixon women were
thoughtful and compassionate - don't know why I thought that. I still think that.

9. I believe
she was the last President's daughter to be married at the White House.

10. Oh. Now I get it.
And yeah, she was the last President's daughter to be married at the WH.

I was working at DCA (National Airport) that day and was amazed at the sight of all the over-dressed Republicans who flew in to town and back out for the wedding.
