Karl Rove's New Job - a guess
Everyone is wondering where Rove is going next after the white house. I had a thought, even though it's just a single possibility. Perhaps Rove is heading over to work with Grover Norquist, one of the neocons himself, and one of the most dangerous men in the country.

Norquist is well known as a power-broker, and if Rove should join him, they could control or influence almost all of the most powerful pukes out there. It's just a guess on my part with nothing to actually base it on, but if he did, he could continue to influence the republican party and not have to worry about legalities to get in the way.

1. His kind of sleaze is more effective out from under the spotlight
kind of like when you turn on a light..all the roaches scurry for cover :)

His "gift" to the GOP will be in the slandering of any dem candidate who appears to be acceptable to the people..

He's probably going into research-mode and will inject his venom when the time is right..

3. I'm thinking you may be giving these two way too much credit. Back
in the day when their shikanery (sp?) was unknown, your theory might be possible. I'm thinking the public has become more savvy to the dirty tricks. Hope you're wrong.

9. Isn't it obvious -
yesterday Fred Thompson resurrected the Federal Marriage Amendment.

Strongly suggests to me that Rove is involved in his campaign.

13. actually he's going to be spending
lots of time with his lawyers, imho. The many criminal investigations surrounding him will take great amounts of attention and time. Abramoff is singing like a canary and has implicated both Rove and Norquist along with many others.

Too bad Court TV doesn't air the Abramoff trial. That would be VERY interesting.

14. Interesting idea.
It could be something like that. I think Rove needs to make some serious money -- whatever he decides to do.

Someone should ask Romney if he intends to hire Rove at any point. Maybe he is working for Romney now and getting paid through one of the wonderful, off-the-books, indirect channels Rove and Tom DeLay proved to be so good at engineering.

19. I predict he'll go the corporate route

That's what most of those guys do.

He's done all he can in the political arena. Now I'm guessing he feels its time to stuff his pockets. And considering the friends and cronies he's made over the years, the guy will rake in the dough while doing very little actual work.

After all, how much was Rove making before doing the political thing? Or should I ask how much was Rove claiming he was making?
