1. I saw that this morning
I have family in SE Texas, so I hope it heads towards Mexico like it appears so now. Sorry to all those folks in Mexico.
The Yucatan is gonna get hard too.

4. I know
I feel slightly guilty keeping my fingers crossed that it hits Mexico and not Texas, but what can you do. My family went through Rita and that area can't take another big hit yet.

A lot of US jobs moved there.

9. It's veering slightly north now
which is good for teh heavy population zones in Jamaica but very bad for our north coast, the northern tip of Haiti and the Southern section of Cuba. Guantanamo Bay could be wiped out in one fell swoop.

I don't see an eye in it, yet.

Here's a clip on the formation of Dean.

and it's a 4 now, even though the first image states Cat. 3.

11. I worry about Cozumel
They are just getting over the last one that hit so hard, Wilma. Its our special place to dive, and the reefs are just beginng to clear and recover, this will not be good at all! We have been diving there since 1970's, at least twice a year. Spent our 50th anniversary there, our last trip at Xmas was sad, way too many cruise ships now, we had debated whether we would go back again, maybe mother nature is going to make the call for us. I hate to see it happen.

12. Dean now moving WNW
that's better news for Jamaica, Cayman and the Yucatan but bad news for Southern Cuba, Louisiana and Texas.
