Do the M$M EVER talk about republic' presidential candidates' views on Iraq?

I took a break from my boycott of TV news today, and watched a bit of Hardball, CNN, and Lehrer, and they all discussed various dems' views on the Iraq debacle, but I heard/saw basically nothing about any pub views on the war, aside from Bush and his toadies, like Ari.

has anybody noticed that this is de riguer; that they rarely, if ever discuss what Rudy, Fred, Mitt have to say about it (McCain being the only exception), choosing instead to focus, pretty much in terms of how dem candidates tear each other apart on their differing views?

anyone care to discuss this?

1. I've been wondering when they'd focus on which Repugs are "battling" which Repugs

or "hitting them" with things, or having spouses "hitting" them with things, or dissing them for not having the right "values," or for not being "regular," or for appealing/not appealing to their "base," etc. etc. etc...

I don't hear much at all about the Repugs, as usual -- just hear plenty FROM them, talking about the Democrats.

5. I saw a crawl on one of the cable shows, which mentioned a "not very veiled swipe"

taken by TCFTBL at Rudy about his gun control views, and Rudy's response, but that was IT.

no discussion of that on any of the bits that I saw. they may have discussed it, but they spent about 15 minutes on Hardball dissecting Obama's WIFE's comment about going home to take care of her kids. Joan Walsh almost said it right: media followed Drudge's mischaracterization of her remarks and went with that story, but she failed to make the point strongly enough that WTF are they doing spending so much time on this story, when there is an entire UNIVERSE of other, much more relevant topics to discuss.

Like Edwards' haircut, house, hedgefund, I guess....the three H's!

Apparently, the convential wisdom is "well, you know how those Republicans are, chuckle, chuckle, anyway, back to Obama. Some people say he's not black enough..."

3. I think it's because they don't really talk about it in depth.

They support the debacle being careful to not criticize Bush (don't want to piss of the faithful base) and their views differ very little.

if the sheeple were constantly bombarded with the pugs' blind support of Bush's psychotic 'plan' 24/7, the way they are with the dems' supposed "disarray" on the subject?

I was going cracked at school today, trying not to discuss all this crap

one of my co-workers, after we talked about how unhealthy it is to be consumed by all this, kept saying "fractals" every time I started in.
