4. I never expected ours to admit it either.
I wonder what this will do to our Minister of Public Safety Stockwell "Doris" Day's refusal to open an investigation into the matter? There's a lot of suspicion that the order can straight from his office.

7. I wish either the Bloc or the Liberals would bring this Government
down with a No Confidence Vote... The only problem that I have is the newly elected leader of the Liberals.... I have no idea how this guy won this appointment... He does not impress me and/or many other Canadians.

22. That's for sure
Remember the Quakers in MM's 911!
And I have some stories to tell from the late 60's early 70s on VN protests!

13. The Sûreté du Québec has a lot to answer for
They were responsible for the security in that area.

I also wonder whether the RCMP were involved in this. All the RCMP said about the matter is that the "anarchists" weren't theirs. They never said they weren't involved.

8. Catch 22 for the cops
"In no time did the police of the Sûreté du Québec act as instigators or commit criminal acts," the news release states in French.

Remember the 'shoe' photos, that showed a protester being restrained by the Canadian cops - and they ALL had on identical, very unique shoes? If this indeed was one of the faux protesters, and they did not "commit criminal acts", then WHY WERE THEY BEING ARRESTED?

They are screwn no matter which way they try to jump. False arrest and detainment if the faux protesters did nothing. Instigating violence or committing criminal acts if they did. Catch 22, dudes.

16. I KNEW this was coming....
It's the old "We were just trying to stop the bad guys" defense. You know, like the middle aged guys that say they were just trying to help the wayward teen when they get busted trying to consummate an online love affair with an under-aged girl.

17. BTW: Canadian Cynic is besides himself...
Yeah, I'll just bet there's "more to come." Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pop over to the Blogging Tories and collect the names of every one of those douchebags who were howling with laughter all this time and using phrases like "moonbat" and "conspiracy theorist." I'm sure the sheepish apologies will start rolling in any minute now, right? Right?

19. If this physical (soul of the boot) evidence were not found, I wonder how many
of the protesters complaining would be accused of having a "conspiracy theorist" attitude?

It may not happen in every case, but it happens!

Regardless, it's probably right on.

23. how, exactly, does one use agents provocateurs to "prevent violence"?
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 09:42 PM by 0rganism
That's doublespeak, plain and simple, in the most Orwellian tradition. The entire purpose of agents provocateurs is to incite violence, thus distinguishing them from other forms of infiltration. It's like "fighting for peace" or "fucking for virginity", broken at the premise.
