Anyone Watching "God's Warriors" on CNN? |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 08:38 PM by Yavin4
What are your thoughts?
-- On Edit --
I've watched all three episodes. I'm not religious, but extremely religious people of all faith frighten and sadden me all at the same time.

6. You don't reason with a reprobate mind. You shun them. |

Hagee should be hounded by protesters. This jerk was on the Benny Hinn program the other night asking preachers across the nation contact him. He would then give them 'talking points' and set up personal meetings with Senators and Congressman. He has a Washington D.C office. How in the hell does this ignorant pig have the power to do this unless Senators and Congressmen allow him to. I have called my representatives and told them how appalled at this I was. He does this tax free. He sells dvds and books and doesn't pay a dime of taxes. The IRS should have this ignorant non-representative of Christianity ion jail. :dem:

3. Hagee thinks that war is justified, in fact he thinks a preemptive strike is justified in |
|
*his* holy book. It's OK for innocents to die. Osama bin Laden also claims that *his* holy book justifies attacks on innocent civilians. They both dehumanize the "other" to justify heinous acts of hatred.

8. I have been watching all three nights, and you're right, they ALL |

scare and repulse me. I give Amanpour a LOT of credit for her coverage. I KNOW I could not have stopped myself from interjecting my own opinions.

13. Do You Think That Religious Extremism Is On The Rise |
|
because of the vast technological advances made in the last century or so have greatly diminished and debunked the role of religion? If you look at everything from Darwin to space exploration to the human genome, science answers more questions about us than religion has ever had, and religion had centuries worth of a head start.
