clearly deregulating has never failed yet?
Former Gov. Mitt Romney says other states can replicate Massachusetts' program of universal health care if the federal government creates an environment in which private health insurance can expand. In a speech being delivered Friday to the Florida Medical Association, the Republican presidential contender is to declare he wants the government to help states lower premiums by deregulating their insurance industries.

So he wants me to believe the solution to getting the 1/6 Americans without any health insurance is less regulation of an industry I simply have no trust in? A smart person might assume that the best way to force an industry to clean itself up would be to threaten an even more watchful eye. The republican solution always seems to be to completely ignore the problem and trust industry to do the right thing. I mean that's never come to bite Americans in the butt. Does it ever occur to Republican voters that the reason there are regulations is that at one time things were unregulated in America and that wasn't working out so well. Hey I have a great way to make medicine cheap. Let's get rid of the FDA. That should cut the cost of the medicine you buy. I'm sure there's no way that would come back to bite me in the butt. And what's all this certifying Doctors to practice medicine. That sounds expensive. If the guy says he's a doctor that's good enough for me. Sure he might give me dog poop and claim it's an antibiotic, but damn it sure will be cheap. For that sake why not deregulate the Armed forces. If my Neighbor says he's a general. That's good enough for me, I say let him lead our Armies to victory. Think all the tax expense sending those officers to school. President never listens to them anyways. Bah, what a waste. An military strategy run by a think tank of non-combat men with no training nor certification of any kind has never ever lead us wrong yet. I'm sick of the private company lie. I want good health care period and I'm smart enough to know a country ranked as low as the US isn't a model to start with let alone expand through deregulation. American leaders use to have the guts to make changes in society, now they don't even have the guts to lie with conviction. What a loser.

1. If America ends up swallowing this guy's bullshit, we're done.
Me and the USA would officially be on the outs, for good.
