Sherrod Brown visits Ohio Flood Victims
Its nice to see an Ohio senator who cares about regular Ohioans when there's a disaster. Insurance companies are trying to dodge paying claims - most policies they're selling today are worthless.

SHELBY -- U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown visited flood victims Thursday at an American Red Cross shelter at Shelby High School, then said he hopes the city soon will be eligible for federal disaster assistance.

"Governor (Ted) Strickland will do an assessment in the next couple days of this area and, hopefully, we'll get some help out here as soon as possible," he said.

1. Thank you for posting this
I grew up in the area in Ohio affected by flooding. Luckily, my parents live on a hill and only experienced flooding in their basement. My little brother's school has been closed though due to the flooding and many people in the area have experienced losses.
I am glad that Brown is visiting and helping those people. I saw another article in a local paper saying that Gov. Strickland was doing the same thing.

2. Strickland and Brown are a good team
It would be great if they had more to work with and didn't have to be dealing with so many GOP fueled crises. Patience, it will get better.
