Excerpted from DKos:
Some of you may be familiar with the story of the
horrifically burned Iraqi boy:
linkWell help has come along for him. Initially I had thought that Shriners Burn Unit (and thanks again Jon Stafford) was going to be the vehicle for treatment, but it seems that CNN wound up turning to the Grossman Burn Center for help. The labor is being donated by surgeons, but the cost involved in getting the child here and providing a place to stay and ongoing care costs still requires that a lot of money be raised. So Youssif turns to you, O generous Kossacks. Many of you helped blogswarm CNN when I posted the initial diary, and many have expressed an interest in helping Youssif further. Here's your chance to help again:
Go to this link, click through the "Donate to Youssif's Fund" button and on the *next page* select "Youssif's fund" from the "Honor/Memorial Gift Information" drop down menu after filling out the requested information. It's a little more complicated than it would have been if I had designed the page, but c'est la vie.
It's only a little bit, but this war has brought so much darkness into the world. Try and light up this little boy's life. Thank you.
What say you folks, if the Kossacks can do some good, we can too, no?
