the relative humidity is a dry and balmy 57%. There's a lite breeze that gives you goose bumps as it passes over your skin.

I feel for those of you in the way of storms and flooding along the northern tier and you in the southeast with the heat that is normally over my head here in Tejas. Seems that high pressure heat bubble that we usually get here has decided to move east this year for some reason.

But hey, it's great here and, oh, looks like we're getting a cold front coming in...IN AUGUST! This is GREAT!

I am missing that oppresive heat and the humidity flowing in off the dead Gulf of Mexico though....

NOT!

Ahhhhh...Global Warming she is so good to Texas!

Global Warming.
What's in YOUR weather?

4. Ah yes...I remember those temps EVERY DREADFUL DAY
Edited on Fri Aug-24-07 12:48 PM by Texas Explorer
for the entire month of August and much of July and into September. At least for this year, we've managed 100+ only three days.

And no rain. For like a decade. But this year, we're slogged. It hasn't rained in a week here and the earth is still moist. Usually microbes couldn't find a glass of water and dried up and blew away on the hot and humid stillness of the air.

Weren't you all washed out last month?

Word is we're getting a break tomorrow, expected high of 96 in Nash Vegas. 20% chance of scattered showers.

Thanks for the thoughts.

7. Are you kidding me?!!! I just cannot imagine that. When
I think of W. Texas, I think of those funny weeds that go tumbling across the road, from one sand-and-scrub side to the other.

But green as Ireland? Well, I'd just have to see that to believe it!

6. One of the weather guys on the local Fox station
said that this August is on the road to being the hottest ever in St Louis. Today it's going to be in the upper 90s until the rain comes through...we are then supposed to get a couple of cool days followed by high 90s again.

Have I said recently that I HATE SUMMER!

So much for the season where people look forward to going outside...here it's been so hot that some outdoor events were cancelled and school days are being shortened in the city of St Louis and some surrounding counties because the schools don't have air conditioning.

Snow days.....in AUGUST!!!

A friend of mine who has asthma hasn't been able to go outside in St Louis all month. She remedied that situation by flying up to Minneapolis last weekend. It was cooler up there so she was able to walk outside. She's wealthy so flying at the drop of a hat is no problem but it is an option available to very few.

8. It's a freezing 88 degrees here in the Atlanta, GA area.
Considering that the temps have been in the high 90s and even the triple digits, 88 degrees is cool.
