We can solve all of the problems that face us as a species.
We just don't, because there are those few that profit from things being fucked up.

3. I bet the only reason...
for that is because of some of the new startup companies, like Tesla motors.

6. Well, I suppose that could be the only reason, but the car manufacturers'
focus groups could be telling them that people want to buy them, so they should sell them.

Who knows, I just want to see them being sold. :)

4. Oh wow! Thanks for the links. Gives me hope, especially if companies like Chevy get involved.
Hopefully that will provide jobs in the USA. Just think how far advanced we would be in that field if we had not had Reagan or either Bush - especially this last one.

9. Made me realize what trains are up against in this country
We'll have a well funded national rail transportation system over the dead bodies of the car companies, oil companies, and rail freight companies.
